Hi, I wasn’t able to use the two day tickets I purchased back in 2020 due to Covid. How do I go about switching them to our vacation in May. I understand I would need to pay extra charges. Thanks

    Hiya Elizabeth!

Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! I am so glad that you decided to stop by and ask us your question, and I am thrilled to be a part of your planning journey. I also see that your magical vacation is coming so soon! How excited are you? I know I would be thrilled, especially since you picked such a magical time to visit with the World's Most Magical Celebration and the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival.

I am sorry that you had to postpone your Disney vacation due to the pandemic! Something that Remy said that always resonated with me was, "the only thing predictable about life is its unpredictability." Thankfully, there is a way for you to use those theme park tickets to go back to the magic this time! Indeed, certain unused theme park tickets can be credited when purchasing new theme park tickets of equal or higher value. However, this requires the help of a Disney Cast Member, as your expired ticket will not appear on your My Disney Experience account. For this reason, I recommend reaching out to a Cast Member by phone, and they will be able to issue this credit for you. Then, you will be able to link your new tickets to your My Disney Experience account and make your theme park reservations! To have the theme park reservations of your choice, try and get your new tickets as soon as possible, and keep an eye on the theme park reservations availability calendar!

Once your theme park reservations are settled, that is when the real fun begins! So many new offerings have arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort, and I cannot wait for you to experience them all! First, you must stay at each park past sunset to watch the park icons transform into an EARidescent glow for the 50th-anniversary celebrations. I love stopping by the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and observing the details of these animations, complete with a party at the Tip Top Club! Keeping with the 50th-anniversary theme, plan a day at Magic Kingdom Park to watch the brand new show "Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire" and watch the new cavalcades and parade go down Main Street USA. Complete your day by watching the new nighttime spectaculars, Disney Enchantment or Harmonious, at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT, respectively. For some extra magic, grab a spot in the middle of Main Street USA to watch Disney Enchantment, and observe as the magic surrounds you!

I hope this was helpful, Elizabeth, and that you and your loved ones will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, please don't hesitate to reach out! We are always happy to help. You and me, we're in a club now!

    Have a magical day,
