    Hi Theresa,

Hello from a fellow East Coaster!

I'm going to take a safe guess that, with you being on the East Coast, you have visited the Walt Disney World Resort. What I don't know is -- have you ever had the opportunity to visit the Disneyland Resort

Whether your trip would be your first visit to the Disneyland Resort or a return visit, what I can say is that you are in for a real magical experience. I hold a deep passion for each of the Resorts -- the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort -- and I love each for different reasons. It's my genuine hope that you get to visit the Disneyland Resort sometime real soon.

Now, let me address your question about theme park ticket refunds.

While I don't know the specifics of when you purchased your tickets for the Disneyland Resort theme parks, what I can share is that tickets are nonrefundable.

The good news, I hope you'll find, is that the Disneyland Resort extended the expiration dates for a variety of ticket types. If you take a look at the "Modifications and Cancellations" section of the Theme Park Tickets & Reservations page, you'll see tickets with their original expiration dates and their new expiration dates. Hopefully, you'll find your tickets covered in these updated expiration date policies.

Here's hopefully more good news for you, Theresa. If you have unused tickets that have expired, the current policy allows for applying the amount you paid for those tickets towards the purchase of new theme park tickets.

I do hope this information is useful, Theresa. It's possible, though, that you might have some additional questions about your tickets and how to make use of them. I know you mentioned you did email the Disneyland Resort, and I'll provide the details for how to email the Resort just as a reference for you.

You can also try to reach out to the Disneyland Resort Ticket Services team at (714) 781-4636. One additional option that I'll share is that you can contact Disneyland Resort Cast Members for assistance by using the "Chat with Us" service in the Disneyland Resort mobile app.

Theresa, there is so much to see, enjoy, experience, and love in a visit to the Disneyland Resort. It's my sincere hope that you get to plan your visit soon. When you do plan your visit, please do reach out to us planDisney panelists and we can share suggestions and tips to help make your stay as magical as possible.

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
