Is it warm enough for Blizzard Beach in December. It looks like highs the week we are going will be mid 70's.

    Hi Mylinda,

Swimming in December at Walt Disney World depends on your tolerance for various temperatures. First, the attractions at Blizzard Beach are heated. You'll find water temperatures posted throughout the park.

Since you are headed to Florida from a northern state, you'll probably find it nice for swimming on a mid-70 degree afternoon. Floridians would likely disagree. I often see the lifeguards huddled in jackets at this time of year!

The key is to go in the afternoon when the sun is at its warmest. Mornings and evenings can be chilly.

In the winter months, we watch the forecast and try to do our water park adventure on the warmest day of our vacation week. Enjoy!
