If I want to come to a park in the evening, is there a time I can come without having a reservation? I know right after COVID, Disneyland and DCA were allowing key holders to come after 2pm without using a reservation. Does that still exist?

Hiya, Charleigh! I am so pleased that you stopped by planDisney with your question.

From one Magic Key holder to another, I salute your desire to get your Disneyland Resort fix whenever possible! Like you, I used to love heading to the theme parks at the end of the day for dinner and a ride on Space Mountain. Alas, I wish I had better news as those late-afternoon Disneyland trips are not currently possible. The Disneyland policy states that "each Guest is required to have a theme park reservation in addition to a valid ticket for the same park on the same date."

I know this might not be the news you hoped for, Charleigh, but "Hakuna Matata." You might find luck snagging a last-minute reservation the night before you'd like to go. There have even been times when I've gotten super lucky and nabbed a same-day reservation (though this is usually only possible during slower times of the year). Remember to keep checking back, as other Guests' plans can change and the availability calendar is regularly updated.

One of the best ways that I like to plan for my visits is to keep an eye on upcoming events at the Disneyland Resort by following the Disney Parks Blog and @DisneyParks on Instagram. I particularly love the Disney Parks Foodie Guides, released throughout the year. Just last week, a Foodie Guide on How to Celebrate Soulfully was released, and I cannot wait to try the Sweet Potato Fries Poutine at Disneyland Park.

Charleigh, thanks again for stopping by. I wish you many magical visits!
