Boo to you, Patricia, and a frightful welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! October is one of my favorite months to visit the theme parks, thanks to the festive décor, happy haunts, and specially-themed attraction overlays. I’m so excited for you to experience
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort!
I believe you’re referring to the
Halloween Screams spell-ebration, featuring “Master of Scare-monies” Jack Skellington, and his ghost dog, Zero. I love watching these ghostly projections set to Halloween-inspired tunes in Disneyland Park! Last year, Halloween Screams was presented most evenings throughout Halloween Time, but the show only included fireworks on select nights (mostly weekend evenings). So, your best bet to catch Halloween Screams with fireworks would most likely be on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evening. However, keep in mind that no official announcements about Halloween Time have been made, so this is all just speculation based off of last year’s schedule. I spoke with a Cast Member, and she said her team is hoping to receive more information about Halloween Time in the next month or two. So, for the full scoop, I’d recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, which is the best spot for all Disney Parks breaking news!
There are plenty of other fun ways to celebrate the Halloween season at the Disneyland Resort, including checking out the classic
Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay, which was inspired by
Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. I also love the
Main Street Pumpkin Festival, featuring incredible displays of hand-carved pumpkins!
I highly recommend hopping over to
Disney California Adventure Park to continue the frightful fun at
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party! I had the chance to visit this spook-tacular event twice last year, and I loved every minute of it! The Immersive Treat Trails, Villains Grove, and “Mickey’s Trick & Treat” were just a few of my favorite experiences. Last year, the event took place on select nights from September 6 through October 31, 2019. Obviously, this year
is looking quite a bit different, and ticket sales haven't been announced just yet. Once again, I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates.
Please stop by with any additional questions for your visit to the Spookiest Place on Earth, Patricia! Let the happy haunts materialize!
