I am wanting to vacation at WDW with 3 adults and 3 children (13,5,2) in December of next year. What is the best way to get started for the least expensive way to go

    Hi Alycia:

There's good news for Guests who as for the best way to get started planning a Disney vacation as there are some great Disney vacation planning tools available right on Walt Disney World's website.

My first piece of advice is to order the Disney Vacation Planning DVD, which will give you an overview of Disney World's four amazing theme parks, two incredible water parks and more than 20 magnificent Disney Resort hotels, as well as give you family vacation planning tips and details about special events in Disney Parks.

I would also visit Walt Disney World's website to browse vacation packages and take advantage of Disney's "My Disney Vacation" planning page tool. Also look at Disney World's FAQ page for answers to frequently asked Guest questions.

To save money, look to stay at one of Disney's Value Resorts, which provide budget-friendly accommodations while still being able to take advantage of Disney Resort privileges like Extra Magic Hours and complimentary transportation.  If you are going in December, if possible, it will be less expensive to travel in the beginning of the month when schools are in session, than during Christmas breaks when schools are out and families are on vacation.
