    We were wanting to start planning a trip for sometime this year! We are wanting to get the magic bands but I have no idea how to or even what they are for? Where do I get more information for them? Ive looked everywhere!”

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Wahoo! A trip to the place "where dreams come true." Mickey Mouse will be so excited to meet you.

    MagicBands are the theme park technology of the future that is a fun, convenient, information secure, wearable technology designed to make your life easy while at Walt Disney World Resort. Here is the quick run down on MagicBands.

    MagicBands provide a way for Guests of Disney Resort hotels to easily make purchases, link Disney PhotoPass photos and FastPass+ entitlements, function as a room key and link Disney Dining plan credits and theme park tickets for admission. There are hundreds of designs including plain colors, fancy logos and pictures of your favorite attractions and Disney personalities. Non-Disney Resort hotel Guests may use MagicBands for theme park admission, PhotoPass photos and FastPass+ reservations only.

    All Guests may purchase MagicBands online through the Disney Store. There is a limited online selection but those designs are amazing. If you wait until you arrive at the theme parks then you may purchase theme park exclusive MagicBands. You may even customize your own MagicBand with your favorite characters and your name in designer fonts.

    Only Guests of Disney Resort hotels receive the benefit a complimentary MagicBand which maybe customized through your Disney account on My Disney Experience.

    Disney Dad Tip: Check out the new MagicBands at the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. in Magic Kingdom Park for some great new designs.
