Hi, I am wanting to take my son to Disney World shortly after his 2nd birthday. I was wondering what is the best time to go to not have to wait in such long lines? Where are the best places to eat there (kinda cheap if possible). Thank you so much!!(:

    Hi there Haleigh!

How exciting to be planning an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation for your son! I have taken all four of my children to the Walt Disney World Resort before they turned three and they loved it. The least crowded and often less expensive time of the year to visit is when the schools are in session. You can traditionally expect lower crowd levels during the month of January and first half of February, September through the week prior to Thanksgiving, and the week following Thanksgiving until the middle of December. My favorite time to visit is early December because of the lower crowds and the opportunity to see all of the beautiful Christmas decorations adorning the parks and resorts.

My favorite restaurants for children that are also budget-friendly include: lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park, T-REX at Disney Springs, Rainforest Cafe at Disney Springs and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria in the Italy Pavilion at Epcot, and Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort. There are also Quick-Service restaurants located in the parks and resorts that offer inexpensive entree choices.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical trip, Haleigh!

    Happy Planning,
