I was wanting to purchase tickets for my sisters family using my military discount. Do I need to be present at the park or can I gift them to her? Thanks.

Welcome Foolish Mortals to planDisney. I’m Shantel and I will be your Ghost Host today, Jeffery.

I would first like to begin by sending a huge thank you from my military family to yours. “Thank you for your service!”. My family loves to visit the Walt Disney World Resort with military promotional tickets. It’s a perfect way to enjoy a family vacation and save some money doing so.

When it comes to purchasing military promotional tickets for friends and family, the eligible service member must be present on the first day of the visit, to show the military ID. Since you are the eligible service member, you would need to be present in order for your sister’s family to use those tickets.

If you are unable to visit with her, I recommend taking a look at the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts. Here, you will find more incredible savings options for all Guests! Sometimes, my family opts for one of these special offers instead of using the military discount. It honestly just depends on when we are visiting and what we are wanting to enjoy. Booking our trips as a complete vacation package has also saved us money, when we don’t use the military offer. You can also take a look at the individual ticket options, if you are not wanting to book this trip as a package. Something my parents do, when they know we have a trip booked, is gift us with a Disney Gift Card. This may be a good option for your sister. She could then use that gift card towards the total cost of her trip!

I hope this helps answer your question, Jeffery. If you find that you have any more, you know where to find us.

    Happy Haunts!
