Hi there, Carli! Welcome to planDisney.
As a military spouse, I'm so very grateful for the fantastic military discounts offered to my family when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort. We often get asked how we manage to make so many magical visits, and the answer is that Disney is very good to our military members, offering great opportunities for us to spend time together in our happy place. I'm so glad to hear you're planning your own visit later this year!
Unfortunately, the
2021 Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets do expire on December 17 of this year. These deeply discounted tickets tend to be blocked out for the last two weeks of December; that's been the case for the last several years. Like you, I'm planning a holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort and I sighed a deep sigh when I realized we would need to purchase regularly priced theme park tickets for our dates.
My advice is to keep an eye on the
Special Offers webpage to see if any discounts are announced for your planned visit dates. There have been some great holiday specials in past years, and I'm sending pixie-dusted wishes that a discount is announced as we get closer to the holidays. You could also call the ticket office at Shades of Green, which is the resort for military members located on Walt Disney World property. I have always gotten great guidance from their staff, and they may be aware of some promotions that work with your plans. The Shades of Green ticket office can be reached at (407) 824-1403.
Once you purchase your tickets, be sure to make
Disney Park Pass reservations for your visit dates. As part of the
phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, each Guest using a ticket must also have a reservation to enter a theme park. Because park capacity is limited, it's a good idea to make those reservations early.
Thanks for stopping by with your question, Carli! If you have any more questions as you make your plans, please come back and see us. It's always a pleasure to help another military family with their Disney dreaming.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
