Hi Krisann,
Welcome to planDisney! It’s always a great day when I can assist a fellow Canuck with a question about planning a Disneyland trip, thanks for stopping by!
I was thrilled to see a Canadian Resident Ticket Offer available to Guests visiting Disneyland this summer, who doesn’t appreciate extra savings? Last summer, when I visited Disneyland, I was lucky enough to take advantage of a similar offer for Canadians. I also had the chance to meet up with my planDisney pal, Melissa, which made the trip even more magical!
For our visit, we decided to buy the Lightning Lane Multi Pass (LLMP) at the time of ticket purchase for our entire trip but you’ll be happy to know that you can also purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass each day you visit the theme parks.
Since you’re only looking to add the Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the last two days of your stay, you can make the purchase through the Disneyland Mobile App once you’ve entered your first theme park of the day.
Here’s how to purchase the Multi Pass:
- Open the Disneyland Mobile App once you’re inside the park.
- On the green banner in the middle of the screen, you’ll see an option for “Lightning Lane Multi Pass.” Click “Purchase,” then select “Get Lightning Lane Multi Pass.”
- You’ll be prompted to confirm your party, and then you’ll be taken to the payment screen to finalize your purchase.
A few tips:
- Try to get to the parks as early as possible, as the Lightning Lane Multi Pass is subject to limited availability. Early entry will give you the best selection of attraction return times.
- If you’ve added the Park Hopper option, your Lightning Lane Multi Pass will work at both parks, giving you even more flexibility to enjoy a wider range of attractions and experiences!
I’m always on the lookout for little ways to save money when planning a trip to Disneyland Resort, and I’ve found that one of the easiest and most effective methods is using Disney Gift Cards to cover expenses like theme park tickets, merchandise, dining, and entertainment.
As a Canadian resident, you're in luck! You can purchase physical Disney Gift Cards in Canadian dollars from many retailers across Canada - most grocery stores and big-box retailers carry them. When you use these cards for online purchases on the U.S. Disney website (like park tickets) or in person, the funds are automatically converted to U.S. dollars based on the previous night’s exchange rate. Any remaining balance on the card will show up in U.S. dollars on your receipt.
Many Canadians love this method because it helps them avoid extra conversion fees that come with using credit cards, plus it’s a great way to stay on top of your budget for the trip. It’s simple, smart, and super convenient!
I hope this information helps with your planning, Krisann. Wishing you a magical stay at Disneyland Resort! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions, I’m happy to help.
Warm hugs,
Candace
