I am wanting to plan a trip to WDW in May 2010. I have just about decided where on site resort we want to stay at but I am not sure if we should by the tickets with the Hopper pass or the quick service dining cards. My kids are 3,5, and10 what do u think

    Hi Jennifer,

Welcome to the Moms Panel, you've come to the right place to get advice on the nitty gritty details of your vacation plan!

Personally, I would rather splurge on the Park Hopper option for your tickets than on the Quick Service Dining Plan.  In my experience, vacations with little ones can be unpredictable so the best way to approach it is with your options open.  Having the flexibility to "hop" from one park to another as you please will ensure that you spend your time doing the the things you find most appealing to your family.  For instance, you may find that your 10 year old really loves Test Track, so you could make that your first stop of the day - and hop to another park that may be more appealing to the little ones later in the day.

Although the dining plans can be a cost savings, I have found that they supply simply more food than my family needs.  Often the little ones split meals, and the adults never have dessert so by simply paying cash for what we want, I believe we save in the long run (both on our wallets and waist lines).  I also like to bring a supply of snacks with me.  It is amazing how appealing a bag of Cheetos are to the kids while in the parks, so I bring a small "snack size" for each of them for less than it costs to buy one bag in the park.  I typically either ship myself a box of "snacks" to the resort, or we stop by the local store once we arrive in Orlando.

Hope this helps - good luck with your plans!
