Hi Taylor!
First, jump up and down with excitement and shout with glee,"Yeah! I'm going to
Walt Disney World!". Now, it's time to start planning to fly with Peter Pan, spin in tea cups, and plummet through space.
A good place to start is with
theme parks and
tickets. How many days will you spend in the parks? Do you want to visit all four parks? A
Park Hopper ticket will allow you access to more than one park a day. This is a nice option if you want to experience every park, but don't have four full days or if you wish to revisit a favorite one.
Standard tickets that allow one park per day are also available.
Before you purchase your tickets, check the
Theme Park Availability Calendar to make sure the parks you wish to visit have openings on your desired dates. Once your tickets are bought, book your
Disney Park Pass Reservations to secure your park days.
Finding a place to stay should be an early step in your planning. Staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort offers convenience, free transportation, inspired theming, and starting on October 1st, a 30 minute early entrance into the parks. My family's favorite amenity is that these resorts are close enough to the parks you can return to your room for an afternoon nap. Choices range from
Value Resorts to
Deluxe Villas, so all price ranges are covered. Disney hotels are popular in the fall, so check on availability before finalizing your travel dates.
Of course you must eat! Consider at least one, special table service meal. You can dine with characters or enjoy an elegant evening atop
Disney's Contemporary Resort at
California Grill with a dazzling view of the
Magic Kingdom or try the international cuisine of one of the many restaurants in
Epcot's World Showcase. Table service meals require a
reservation; you may begin booking 60 days in advance.
Of course planDisney would love to help you with each step of your planning. Ask us questions, visit our

Wishing you a wonderful adventure when you visit Mickey!
