I am wanting to plan a family vacation for a weeks stay for the summer of 2022 for a family of 4. Is there anyway to make reservations and start paying monthly now? Or how do I do this. I personally have never been.

Greetings from planDisney, Jessica and WELCOME!

I’m so glad you’re hEAR planning a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. While I don’t have a wand or a pumpkin to turn into a carriage, I am always excited to try out my Fairy Godmother skills so let’s… Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo… talk about planning a trip for YOU!

First, Jessica, take a look at THIS page about vacation package. With a $200 deposit you can book a vacation package that includes a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and your theme park tickets. After you’ve booked your vacation package you are able to pay on your package over time (with the final payment due 30 days prior to check-in).

I would encourage you to begin by browsing through the list of Disney Resorts Collection hotels as there is something for every interest and budget. My family and I have stayed at value, moderate and deluxe resort hotels and have loved each stay for different reasons. The planDisney panel has recently created some Pocket Guides that are quick ways to learn about a resort “at-a-glance.” Currently four resorts have been highlighted, but more are on the way. Check out THIS question and answer to see the links for these Pocket Guides.

Once you’ve selected a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you’ll want to decide what type of tickets are best for your family. You can select the standard one park per day ticket or upgrade to the Park Hopper® Option. My family typically picks the standard ticket and just enjoys one park per day (which leaves us a little extra money for snacks and souvenirs).

Jessica, once your vacation package is booked, I hope you’ll come on back to planDisney with more questions. As Fairy-Godmothers-in-training, we are happy to guide your planning by making recommendations and explaining things like the Disney Park Pass and dining around the Walt Disney World Resort. In the meantime, Jessica, follow @planDisneypanel on Instagram to see updates and continue learning about all the Magic that's in store for you.

Best wishes, Jessica and I hope to “see ya real soon!”

Greetings from central Pennsylvania! Hi, I’m Lauren and I can’t wait to answer all of your Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Vacation Club questions. My husband and I became Disney Vacation Club Members because we love visiting the Disney Parks and with hectic day-to-day schedules, wanted to prioritize time away for our family. The options at the Walt Disney World Resort make each trip unique and I am excited to help other families build vacations with those unforgettable moments.
