Hello, Charlotte and welcome to planDisney!
Charlotte, while Simba's sinister uncle Scar isn't my favorite, he does have good advice when he croons "
Be Prepared" and you are asking great questions in anticipation of your upcoming trip!
Charlotte, breakfast with Mickey Mouse, Minnie and the gang at
Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort is the perfect start to the day and I'm so excited for you to experience the new menu.
These photos and descriptions on the Disney Parks Blog are just mouth watering!
Now, in order to relax and enjoy your meal, you'll first need to get there. Charlotte, since you mentioned utilizing the monorail from EPCOT, it's important to know that
monorail service to and from EPCOT is currently not available. We don't yet have a date when this might be reinstated, so I would not recommend factoring in that possibility.
Depending on the time of your reservation, I would recommend taking
Disney Bus Transportation from
Disney's Riviera Resort to Magic Kingdom Park. From there you can hop on the monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort (which is running) or you can walk along the dedicated path. My family and I often walk back and forth from
Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's Contemporary Resort and find it a nice stroll that is approximately 10 minutes. If it fits in your budget, a ride share service like uber or lyft can offer door to door service and has the added bonus of letting you enjoy a few extra minutes of sleep!
Charlotte, it sounds like after breakfast you'll be ready to hit the park! But... which one? While I love Disney's Hollywood Studios, after a leisurely breakfast, I would recommend
visiting EPCOT. With operating hours that begin later, you won't feel rushed in arriving. I would also encourage you to save
Disney's Hollywood Studios for another day if you're hoping to secure a boarding group for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. While you do not need to be in the park when making this reservation, an early boarding group may get in the way of your Mickey waffles!
Charlotte, I hope this helps as you are planning out your spring break days. Whether you decide to explore the World Showcase or live your
Star Wars adventure, be sure to enjoy that gondola ride back to
Disney's Riviera Resort at the end of the day on the
Disney Skyliner. This aerial view will have you feeling like Zazu flying over the Savanna. Please come back and see us with any other questions you might have. We are all EARS!
