    We are wanting to get our grandson's hair cut at the barber shop at Magic Kingdom. They are booked. Is there anything we can do? Arrive early? I will continue to call but I wondered if there was a tip you could give me. Thanks!

    Hi Carrie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It makes me so happy to see guests coming back to ask some really great vacation planning questions!

    Harmony Barbershop is a “must do” for my family. All of our children have had their first haircuts at this barbershop. The First Haircut package is so special for us. We truly cherish the experiences that we have had there and keep the Mickey Ears, Certificate, and lock of hair in a special place. One of my favorite pictures was taken during my son’s first haircut. The look on his face while they place the Mickey Ears on his head was just priceless!

    My best suggestions for you would be to keep trying to call to secure a reservation and also to be flexible with your dates and times. I have found that there are sometimes cancellations and being flexible is the best way to find a reservation. I would call as often as you can and try to call at different times during the day. If you are not successful at finding a reservation, I would recommend arriving to Magic Kingdom early and trying to secure a walk up spot. While there are no guarantees that this will work, it is always worth a try!

    I hope that you will be able to get your grandson’s first haircut at Harmony Barbershop! If it all works out be sure to take tons of pictures! Sending Pixie Dust your way!
