    Sarahi from AZ Asked

Hello! I was wanting to go the weekend of October 9-10 and noticed I wasn't able to reserve for the 9th and wondering why that is? How likely is it that the date will become available? Can there be cancellations of other parties?

Hi there, Sarahi. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for dropping by with your questions for us.

I’m delighted to see you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth very soon, but I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues making theme park reservations. Fridays through Sundays tend to be very popular days to visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks. With the theme park reservations system, Guests can make theme park reservations up to 120 days in advance. I just peeked at the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar and currently, October 9th and 10th are crossed out. This means that all theme park reservations for those dates are sold out. People’s travel plans can change, and cancelations do happen.

Sarahi, it appears you currently reside in Arizona based on the information provided. Since you’re traveling from quite far away, the safest bet may be to make a theme park reservation for a day that is certainly available; that way, you’ll be confirmed and guaranteed the opportunity to experience all the pixie-dusted fun!

I wish you the best of luck in obtaining your theme park reservations and have a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! If you have additional trip-planning questions for us, please write us again. We’re all EARS!

    See ya real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
