Welcome to planDisney! I love that you are planning a gender reveal at Walt Disney World Resort. I mean, the only thing more magical than the Most Magical Place on Earth is babies! I've always made Walt Disney World part of my pregnancies, and the memories I've made there are so special to me.
While there is no formal way to set up a gender reveal, I do have some ideas for how to do one at
Beach Club Resort. Do you know that fun "Welcome" message that appears on the TV of your resort hotel? If you are a Guest at Beach Club Resort, you can reach out to
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to request a custom message that includes the baby's gender. There is no guarantee that they can accommodate this, but it doesn't hurt to ask. This would be a unique way to surprise and delight! If you like this idea and they are not able to do this in advance, you can also ask when you check in for arrival, as they may be able to add in a custom message before you get to your room. My second idea works if you are a resort Guest or just visiting. Ask a Cast Member at the front desk for a Celebration button. You can share with them a note with the gender on it and ask them to write "I am celebrating a Baby Girl or Boy." Then find a perfect spot near the BoardWalk, get your camera ready, and reveal the gender! The photos will be great, and you will have the added benefit of a fun keepsake. What I love about both of these options is that they are free, but not your average reveal.
I hope this is helpful, Cynthia. Before I let you go, I did have one other idea for you. If you want a larger keepsake, head over to
Beach Club Marketplace. You can select two plushes or items that represent Baby Boy and Baby Girl, and then ask a Cast Member to discreetly scan the item that matches the gender and bag it up for you so you can't see it. Be sure that the items are similarly priced so it doesn't give it away when you pay. Then you can "unbox" the item and reveal the surprise.
