Hi Joshua, welcome to planDisney!
A vacation to Walt Disney World Resort with your siblings and besties sounds like an amazing time. And as the song goes, “taking pictures is making memories!”
You are welcome to take photos of your family and friends at Disney Springs, however, there are some restrictions you must keep in mind. According to current
Walt Disney World Property Rules, photography or recording of any kind for unapproved commercial purposes is prohibited. Regarding equipment for taking photos, selfie sticks, tripods or monopod stands that extend over six feet (182 cm) or cannot fit into a standard backpack are also not allowed.
Of course, you'll also want to be courteous to other Guests at Disney Springs, so try not to block any walkways or entrances to shopping or dining locations. Also, please refrain from any unsafe or disruptive behavior.
I love that you want to take photos of your friends and family together, but I have another suggestion, Joshua. While you’re in Disney Springs, visit the
Disney PhotoPass Studio. You don’t need to make a reservation, and you and your group can choose a
virtual backdrop and even use some props. This is a great option to make sure you are also included in the photos! If you purchase
Memory Maker for your upcoming vacation, the photos taken at the Disney PhotoPass Studio can be downloaded with your other
Disney PhotoPass photos from your vacation.
And since we’re talking about making sure you’re included in the photos, don’t forget to stop by any
Disney PhotoPass photographers you see while you’re in the theme parks. And be sure to ask if the photographer has a
Magic Shot available! These often change seasonally so check out the
Disney Parks Blog before your trip to see what is available.
I hope this was helpful, Joshua. If you have any questions, please
visit me again at planDisney! Enjoy making magical memories with your besties!
