Hi Christina!
Thank you for bringing this delectable dining plan question to us! My family prefers the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan so I am happy to chat with you about it.
Be sure that your
vacation package with the dining plan is linked in
My Disney Experience. Prior to arrival, you will be able to make
advanced dining reservations online using your credit card to guarantee the reservation and when you arrive, you will be able to access and track your dining plan entitlements using the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. Each time we have dined in the past, the cast member who served us has always asked if we are using one of the
Disney Dining Plans. If so, the Cast Member scans one of our MagicBands to access our dining plan details and then the Cast Member explains what we can order depending on our specific dining plan.
On our most recent visit, we used the Disney Deluxe Dining plan and always clarified which appetizers, desserts, and alcoholic drinks were included with our dining plan. Prior to making our dining reservations, we double-check to make sure we know which restaurants accept dining plans and how many dining entitlements each restaurant requires. To check, go to the homepage of each restaurant and look for a link that says, "Some Dining Plans accepted." If you click on that link, a pop-up menu should appear that lets you know which dining plans are accepted and how many entitlements are required.
Cinderella's Royal Table, for example, currently requires two table-service entitlements per person age 3-years old and over on the 2020 Disney Dining Plan or Disney Deluxe Dining Plan.
Christina, remember that your dining plan entitlements are calculated per night of stay. I always create a chart with all of our dining reservations and the number of meal entitlements we will use at each restaurant to be sure we do not exhaust all of our entitlements prior to the final day of our trip. We like to save enough entitlements to have one last meal on the day we depart!
Sending you pixie dust as you plan!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
