We are wanting to have dinner at Epcot. Trying to decide between Coral Reef or Teppan Edo. We have 3 children. 17,17 and 10. They like just about everything. Not picky at all. Out of the 2, which one would you choose and why? Thanks.

    Hi KarieAnn!
Wow, my son and I really love both Teppan Edo and the Coral Reef Restaurant so it could be a difficult choice to make! I will tell you what I like and dislike about each restaurant from my experience and then give you my recommendation.
    Teppan Edo:
This is an incredible dining experience where the food is prepared right in front of you Japanese style.  My son (12) is somewhat of a picky eater and he absolutely loved the food at Teppan Edo and he is always mesmerized by the chef's show as he or she cooks your food.  Each Table seats 8 people and it is very family friendly because you are sitting close to each other around a rectangular table.  This meal takes anywhere from an 1 to 2 hours and it pays to take your time and enjoy the experience. Every time that I have eaten here with my son, we got right in within 5 minutes of our Advanced Dining Reservation.
    Coral Reef:
This is a unique dining experience as well and this venue features an incredible aquarium filled with swimming fish and sometimes actual scuba divers that you can observe while you eat.  This restaurant features seafood dishes, but it also has some land lubber options too.  If you and your children do not enjoy seafood, then this might not be the best choice for you. Also this restaurant can be quite loud and it sometimes is very difficult to carry on a normal conversation with your family.  All tables have a good view of the aquarium, but there are only a few smaller tables right next to the aquarium glass and they are hard to get.  I have have to wait for a table for 20 to 30 minutes after my Advanced Dining Reservation time on both times that I have eaten at Coral Reef.

So my dining recommendation for you and your family is Teppan Edo!

I hope that you and your family have many incredible dining experiences on your next trip to Walt Disney World!
    Keep Dreaming Big!
