I am wanting to take my daughter who will be turning 2 in Oct to WDW in Nov, is 2 too young for Disney or does Disney have enough to keep her entertained for 5 days? I've been 9 times but this is my 1 time as a parent. Any info toddler friendly is welcomed

    Hi Danielle,

This is a really great question and I am so glad you asked! Visiting Walt Disney World as a child, an adult and even a parent is a different experience each time. You'll see that you find a new rhythm with your little one, but there are definitely plenty of opportunities for fun!

I grew up going to Walt Disney World, visited during my college years and have returned many times as a parent. My suggestion for those with young children is to start early in the morning and set a slower pace than you are probably accustomed to. Your child will be in awe of things you likely never noticed and it will bring an entirely new perspective to your own experience. After lunch, take a short break during the hottest part of the day. You could go back to your Disney Resort hotel for a nap or a swim before returning to the parks for more fun.

Take time to enjoy the parades, shows, Character Greetings and play areas. These are all typically big hits with the kiddos and parents alike. That said, there are plenty of attractions that even the smallest Guests will love!

Take a look at the Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones page for planning ideas, sample itineraries and even a list of attractions that are appropriate for any age.

I think you will be very pleasantly surprised at just how much fun you have with your daughter. If you're like me, you'll leave thinking 5 days wasn't enough!

Wishing you a magical vacation. Say hi to Mickey for me!
