I was wanting to take my children to Disney land resort California on 01/01/2022 I was wondering if the park is open that day and if there certain things that will be closed because of the holiday? I'm wanting to also take my children to dine

Hello, Cristina! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

You'll be glad to know that the Disneyland Resort is open year-round, including January 1, 2022! You'll be able to experience all the things you would normally get to experience at the parks even though it's a holiday. Since New Year's Day has historically been a pretty popular time to visit, I suggest purchasing your tickets and making your theme park reservation right away. When you buy your tickets on the Disneyland Resort website, you will select the day you want to visit and the park you want to visit that day. That is your theme park reservation. If you buy Park Hopper tickets, you will select the park you want to start at and then at 1:00 p.m., you can start hopping to the other park.

I highly recommend that you download and familiarize yourself with the Disneyland app before you visit. This will be your best tool for navigating the parks efficiently. It will house your eTickets for accessing the parks, allow you to view current attraction wait times, enable you to mobile order food from a variety of quick service locations, and will be how you use Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ that will be launching soon.

I hope your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is full of magic and memories!
