Cheerio Suzanne!
So glad that you raced over to planDisney today!
It's a real "Sugar Rush" to answer Guest questions about their vacations to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Definitely one of the highlights of a visit to
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is creating a droid at the Droid Depot. My son’s favorite Christmas gift a few years ago was a remote controlled BB-8; he played with it nonstop! So I can imagine that he will certainly want to build a custom droid at
Droid Depot on our upcoming Walt Disney World vacation! As you know, the Droid Depot does require a reservation, so you need to make the jump to lightspeed to
this link to reserve your spot!
Have you heard the phrase, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again?" Well, that is my advice when it comes to making reservations for special extras like
Savi’s Workshop-Handbuilt Lightsabers and Droid Depot. As with any system, glitches can and do happen...just ask Vanellope von Schweetz from
Wreck-It Ralph. Sometimes it has more to do with a web browser. Sometimes that sneaky Stitch just loves to pop up online and wreak havoc. But here’s the good news: the site is working perfectly now when I tried for September 7th reservations, and they were available for morning, afternoon and evening time slots.
So I guess that was our way of imitating Fix-It Felix and saying, "We can fix it!" We didn’t do anything tech wise, but sometimes all we need to do is wait out the problem and it fixes itself. The main point is that you CAN make a Droid Depot reservation. Phew-I’m so relieved that I didn’t have to feel like I was wrecking your plans like Wreck-It Ralph if the answer was no!
Rev your engines and head back to planDisney with more planning questions; we'd love to play the planning game with you. Have a wonderful vacation!
