    I am wanting to book a trip but want to make sure ahead of time that there are open reservations at the parks before making the plunge. Interested in Epcot Dec 19 and/or 20th Magic Kingdom 22nd animal Kingdom 23rd and Hollywood Studios 21st.

    Walt Disney World is so festive during the holidays! The parks are decked with zillions of twinkling lights, thousands of bright red poinsettias, and hundreds of brilliantly decorated Christmas trees. I adore the Mickey shaped wreaths that adorn the lampposts. 

    Sonja, you are wise to check what parks are available in advance during the popular holiday season. Park reservations do fill up during the holidays. Take a look at the Theme Park Availability Calendar to see what parks have openings on your desired dates. Currently Disney's Animal Kingdom and Epcot have openings on your first choice days, but the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios will require a bit of maneuvering. Do check the availability calendar right before you purchase tickets, because park options can change quickly.
