Hey there Cory, welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your great question.
I think the choice between a suite or two separate hotel rooms at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel truly comes down to personal preference and budget. If you have several little Mouseketeers traveling with you, then I'd probably opt for two separate hotel rooms. After long days in the parks, it's nice to come back and relax in a quiet room. There is no guarantee that you would be able to get rooms right next to each other, but you definitely are able to make the request with the hotel, and Cast Members will make their best efforts to accommodate.
If you are not concerned about budget, and it would be preferable to have your Father-in-Law stay with you, then I'd definitely explore a 1 Bedroom or 2 Bedroom Suite option. Everyone in the family could stay together, and you'd have plenty of space for everyone throughout your trip. The
Disneyland Hotel is a personal favorite of my family's, you cannot beat the Disney nostalgia running throughout the entire property as well as their monorail waterslides at the pool.
I also recommend checking out the
Pixar Place Hotel! It recently reopened and transformed as a celebration of all the Pixar films, and I cannot wait for the chance to stay here. They also have 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom suite options for you and your family to explore as you plan your trip and where to stay. I saw that Bing Bong from Inside Out was doing meet and greets with Guests, how cool!
I hope this information is helpful for your decision, Cory! If we can help with any other questions as you plan your wonderful trip,
please come back and ask.
Have a magical day!
Melissa
