Hey, howdy, hey, Tiffany!
Welcome back to planDisney. As fellow Guests like you, the other planDisney Panelists and I appreciate the opportunity to be a trusted resource to help make your Disney Cruise Line vacation as magical as possible.
After being in many different staterooms on Disney Cruise Line ships, I feel it's virtually impossible to go wrong with just about any of them. I too have noticed a few stateroom reviews that they might call them "secret." Of course, no stateroom category is truly secret, per se, as the full inventory is generally available to book on a first-come basis for each cruise itinerary.
Choosing from the variety of categories of staterooms and suites on the Disney Fantasy will ultimately come down to your preferences and finding the features that match your party's needs. My recommendation is to start with your preferred travel dates and/or cruise itinerary in mind. Use the filter options on the Find a Cruise page to narrow down the many choices offered. For you, I recommend selecting February 2028 from the "Leaving" filter, and "Disney Fantasy" from the ☰ "More Filters" option. The result will be five cruises setting sail on the Fantasy that month: two Bahamian cruises and three Eastern Caribbean cruises.
If any of those itineraries and dates should interest you, you might then select one at a time to further investigate which staterooms are available and offer a good fit for your party. In my observations, the more uniquely shaped staterooms, such as those situated in extreme corners or stern ends of their respective decks, tend to garner outsized attention from reviewers. Among staterooms with verandahs on the Fantasy, I assume those would typically be category 4E, Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah, or similar. Naturally, anything that might be described as "limited," "exclusive," or "uncommon" is more likely to draw attention from social media algorithms.
Because of that added attention, I try to remember to set my expectations to be less surprised when I find those stateroom categories may have already been sold out by the time I am able to book newly released Disney cruise itineraries. In fact, almost that exact scenario played out for me when I booked an exciting cruise on the Disney Wish out of New York City from the recently released Fall 2027 & Spring 2028 itineraries. Before my Castaway Club level was invited to book this round, I had in mind five particular staterooms that I was interested in reserving for the itinerary we selected. I recognized that the first four would more than likely be sold before my turn. To my surprise, even the fifth choice was also sold. I suppose I felt a little disappointed. But there was still an available stateroom right next to my fifth choice that was just as suitable and desirable. So I happily selected it and moved on. In the end, I recognize that, no matter the stateroom we are in, our family will be enjoying the atmosphere of Where Magic Meets the Sea.
Enjoy each magical moment, Tiffany!
