I am wanting to book a Disneyland vacation, how does the payment plan work?

Hey there, Megan. Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you're here and even more delighted that you plan to add some magic to your summer plans.

Planning far in advance gives you the benefit of paying over time and Disneyland Vacation Packages are a great way to accomplish this. Before getting started, you will want to check the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to ensure your desired dates are available. Theme park reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance and it looks like your arrival date will open for reservations in a couple of weeks. You also don't need to wait for your window to open and can start booking your vacation package and make your theme park reservations later.

When you are ready to book your magical vacation, you will be required to pay a $200 deposit at the time of booking (deposit amount is subject to change). Once the deposit is paid, the remaining balance of your vacation package will be due 30 days prior to your arrival date. You can also make additional payments along the way. To do this, you will log in to your Disney account and navigate to "My Hotel Reservations" and then select "Make a Payment." You will receive your theme park tickets four days prior to your arrival, however, I recommend making your theme park reservations as soon as you possibly can.

If you decide to book at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, there are some magical benefits that come with staying on resort property. Not only are you staying in the magic and close to both theme parks, but you also have the benefit of early park entry. This is my favorite benefit which allows you to enter either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park 30 minutes early to enjoy select attractions. I usually like to head directly to Alice in Wonderland or Peter Pan's Flight. Did you know Alice in Wonderland is unique to the Disneyland Resort? You will also get Magical Extra Savings and an exclusive Walt Disney Travel Company pin and lanyard for all Guests ages 3 and older on your reservation.

I hope this has been helpful information, Megan. I'm so excited about your upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. There are so many wonderful things happening this year, like the Disney100 Celebration. The resort is all decked out in beautiful platinum and purple decorations and there are even festive food offerings. One of my favorite desserts was the Lemon Chiffon Pie which can be found at Hungry Bear Restaurant.

If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your magical visit, please come back and see us - even ask me directly. Until then, I wish you happy planning!

    See ya real soon!
