I am wanting to book a cruise for the Star Wars at Sea cruise sailing in March 2022. I need to have an idea of when the Final Payment deadline would be to see if it's even feasible for me . Can you help a stressed momma out??

    Hi Mindi!

Welcome to planDisney! We don’t want you to be stressed out in planning a Disney cruise, so that’s why I am so glad you are here. Let me tell you, a Star Wars Day at Sea itinerary is absolutely out of this galaxy, so of course I am going to encourage you to make this sailing work for you and your family!

Final payment for your anticipated March 12, 2022 sailing would be due by November 12, 2021. This is because a Star Wars Day at Sea sailing on the Disney Fantasy is a 7-night cruise, and the Disney Cruise Line Terms and Conditions state that for cruises lasting 6 nights or more, Guests must cancel at least 120 days out without incurring cancellation fees. But if you see it as an early holiday gift and wrap gifts for the kiddos telling them about sailing with Captain Mickey, I’m sure that will make it easier to put the money away for that final payment.

Currently, under the Book with Confidence program, the final payment is due no later than 60 days prior to sailing for itineraries through November 30, 2021. While this deadline has been extended a few times, I am not sure whether your March 2022 voyage would become part of this in the future or not. So to be safe, you should assume that the normal final payment rules would apply, and you would have to have it paid at least 120 days in advance.

However, it also depends on what type of stateroom you would be booking because final payment for suites and concierge staterooms is due at least 90 days before sailing. Meanwhile, reservations with restrictions are nonrefundable and non-transferable, so those would result in a 100% cancellation fee. In all likelihood, you would be in that 120 day cancellation range, and I hope that this will work out for you.

Should you have any other questions, feel free to use the Force and summon us at planDisney. “We will be with you, always!” Mindi, I hope you are able to book that FANTAStic cruise!

    SEA ya real soon!
