Hi Carmen!
Well, you have come to the right place. At planDisney, we love helping to plan magical Walt Disney World vacation memories for big families!
Regardless of how you book your
vacation package, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the vacation planning tools on the Walt Disney World Website. If you have not done so already, create a
My Disney Experience account and create profiles in your
My Family & Friends list for everyone in your party that does not have their own My Disney Experience Account. If they do have their own accounts, you will need to connect with them through your My Family & Friends list.
Next, check the
Special Offers to see which might apply to the dates of your visit. It looks like the
Get 2 Extra Days Added to Your Ticket on a Select 4-Night/3-Day Room & Ticket Package might be a possibility. Decide which
resort hotels you might prefer. Filter by resort category to review options in the value, moderate, deluxe & deluxe villa categories. My family prefers deluxe and deluxe villa resorts because they offer multiple room types and have great dining options. Budget also matters, however, so we pay careful attention to price!
Consider how many days you will actually need
theme park tickets and whether or not you want the Park Hopper option. Prior to becoming Annual Passholders, we normally skipped the Park Hopper option. We can find plenty to do at one park per day! Once you book those vacation packages with a resort hotel and theme park tickets, be sure to
link those vacation packages in My Disney Experience. Once linked, you will need to use the
Disney Park Pass system to make park pass reservations for everyone. Even though it might seem premature to do so, I suggest making those park reservations as soon as possible since park capacity is currently limited.
As you get closer to the dates of your visit, make
advanced dining reservations 60 days prior to your trip and consider
Memory Maker to capture all of those unforgettable memories! Given the size of your group, you may have some trouble making dining reservations. If you have difficulty making a reservation for the entire party, I suggest splitting your party into two or three smaller groups. As long as your reservations are within 10-15 minutes of each other, when you arrive at the restaurant, you can ask to be seated together. Although not guaranteed, Cast Members do their best. And, what matters most is that your crew eats within a reasonable time even if seated apart in the restaurant!
Carmen, having planned for larger groups in the past, I am sending you a little extra pixie dust for patience. If you need a little extra help, call 407-939-1936. You will survive and have the most magical time!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
