I wanted to get my wife a gift to say thanks for planning trip to Disneyland.

    Hi Ric!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and hello to a fellow Texan! I love so much that you want to thank your wife for creating the most magical vacation to The Happiest Place on Earth. (Could you maybe send a link to this question and answer to my husband?) There are of course all kinds of directions you could go with this, so I have a few suggestions. But no matter which token of appreciation you pick, I know your wife is going to love how thoughtful you are.

Would you like to gift her something ahead of your trip, that she could use during her Disney Days? ShopDisney has a lot of great items that will ensure she'll fit right in with the fun, from Disney clothing and jewelry, to a wide selection of Ears. My top suggestion would be a new bag that she can use while in the parks.

If you wanted to spread a bit of pixie dust while on your actual vacation, it's a whole lot of fun to walk in to your Disney Resort Hotel room and find a gift basket or flower bouquet from Disney Floral and Gifts. These selections range from goodies and gifts to full room decorations. And if you don't see quite what you're looking for, Disney Floral and Gifts Cast Members will work with you to help make real whatever you can imagine.

Have you by any chance seen a copy of "the plans"? It might be risky (some of us don't do well with others 'helping'), but you could add a surprise non-park Character dining reservation to your check-out day, or maybe even the World of Color Dessert Party on the day you're supposed to be in Disney California Adventure Park. For a really big thank you, you could even upgrade your Disney Resort Hotel room for just one night to a park view or club level.

Pay attention to what she looks at in the various shops and stores across Disneyland Resort. I know how practical I am when it comes to "treating myself"; I'll often go back to the same item a few times over a few days and eventually talk myself out of it. If you see your wife doing the same, you can do two things: if you're a guest of a Disney Resort Hotel, you can purchase said item and have it sent to your resort hotel so you don't have to carry it around all day. Try to sneak away for long enough to purchase the wanted item, and then surprise her with it on checkout day. Or, take a quick scan on ShopDisney.com to see if it's available for home delivery. Getting mail is fun, but getting thankful Disney present mail from your Prince Charming is like nothing else.

I hope these tips gave you some great ideas, Ric, and if you have any more Disneyland Resort planning questions, We're All Ears!
