    I wanted to say that this forum is great. My family and I are visiting the magic 17-24 Jan 09. We always go in July when it is very hot. My question is how low is the average temp during Jan? Trying to shop for thr right clothes, thanks. Roger

    According to several sources, the average low is around 48 degrees. So it can be quite chilly during the mornings and evenings.

    We have only vacationed in WDW once during the Summer. Most of our trips have been in November, December and January. January is our favorite time of year to visit for low crowds.

    You'll want to pack layers. We often find ourselves leaving in the morning to tour a park while wearing jeans, sweatshirts and sometimes jackets. By the afternoon though, we may need to shed the outer layers and be quite comfortable with a short sleeve shirt.

    It's difficult to predict January weather. We've been there when it's been quite hot and worn only shorts to freezing temperatures where we had to wear jackets, gloves and hats. Usually it's some where in between those extremes.

    Watch the forecast and pack accordingly. Layers are best! I'll be watching the forecast for those same dates. Hope the weather is nice for our vacations!!
