Wanted to ride the boat in from the Polynesian. We want to be there when the Kingdom opens. What time do the boats start running and how long is the trip on it?

    Hey Anita

    Welcome to planDisney!

It looks like you’re headed to the Most Magical Place on Earth in just under a month! You’ve definitely brought your question here just in time and we’re happy to help! You’re going to love your stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It’s my wife’s absolute favorite resort and we’re proud to call Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows one of our Disney Vacation Club Home Resorts.

The boat ride over to the Magic Kingdom Park is my favorite mode of transportation to any theme park on property. It feels like you’re being whisked away to a far off kingdom in the middle of nowhere. The boats are currently running 30 minutes before Magic Kingdom Park opens and the ride itself is maybe 5-8 minutes long. I’d get to the boat launch at least 45-60 minutes before park opening so that you catch one of the first boats over.

While you’re visiting Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, make sure you stop by Pineapple Lanai for one of their amazing DOLE Whips! Dining at Kona Cafe should be a must for your trip! I recommend the Tonga Toast for breakfast and one of their poke bowls for lunch!

Well Anita, I hope this information finds you well and you have the Best Trip Ever!

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
