Hi! I wanted to make a reservation to Mickey's Backyard BBQ but the small print says when you have DDP you are not allowed to have Buffet or all u can eat, that you are allowed to have entree, app, desert. It takes 2 meals to cover charge? Is this applied?THX

Hi Julie!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We always purchase the Disney Dining Plan for our Walt Disney World vacations.  It saves us a lot of money and is very convenient.  We eat at a lot of all-you-care-to-enjoy restaurants at Walt Disney World and have never experienced this.  I hadn't heard of not being able to partake in the buffet at Mickey's Backyard BBQ if you are on the Disney Dining Plan so I called the reservation hotline (407-WDW-DINE) and asked about the menu. The Cast Member I spoke to was able to confirm when you are on the Disney Dining Plan, you are able to enjoy the full buffet offerings like everyone else.  Be aware that Mickey's Backyard BBQ is 2 Table Service Credits per person, so you will want to plan the rest of your meals accordingly.

Have a magical vacation and if I can help you with anything else, please let me know!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
