Howdy, Yisel! Welcome to planDisney!
First and foremost, I admire your proactive planning spirit! You just might be my "favorite deputy!" While I spend more time at the Walt Disney World Resort, I love to hop over to the other coast for a quick trip to the Disneyland Resort every once in a while. It can be fun to compare and contrast the two.. to see how similar rides like
Toy Story Mania! are, but experiencing different ways to enjoy the magic, like a ride on
Slinky Dog Dash or some time well spent on Pixar Pier!
Unfortunately, Yisel, tickets are nontransferable from one Disney Parks Destination to another. If you purchase
tickets to the Walt Disney World Resort, they will have to be used at the parks in Florida. The same goes for Disneyland Resort Tickets. As our good friend, Woody would say, "This is the perfect time to panic!" But.. it's not! While I know this doesn't quite help in your planning process, knowing this information will save you a lot of heartache down the line!
So, what should you do? Since you're getting close to your preferred arrival date, I'd recommend "reaching for the sky" and getting your Walt Disney World Resort vacation on the calendar before it's too late. If you purchase your tickets and are unable to make it, you can change the date of your ticket when you
find a better time that works for you. While you may not be able to use the tickets at the Disneyland Resort, you can make adjustments to your plans without losing money! Yee-haw!
Yisel, be sure to make time to visit
Disney Springs during your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! Similar to the
Downtown Disney District in your home state of California, this outdoor shopping and dining district can provide hours and hours of entertainment! It's a far cry from "sand and a couple of Lincoln Logs!" Grab a bite at
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' and shop for souvenirs at World of Disney or
Once Upon a Toy before taking in the live entertainment offered each night. Adding a stop at Disney Springs to your stay will help take your visit to infinity and beyond!
So long, partner!
