Hi there, Thomas!
Welcome to planDisney! Oh boy! Planning a surprise trip to Disneyland sounds like such a thrill and I understand that you might want to keep some of the details hidden until the big reveal. The good news is that you can buy your tickets and book your hotel room separately, without having to make park reservations right away. This way, you'll have more flexibility to surprise your cast of characters with the news of the trip without committing to a specific park day just yet.
However, it's important to note that the
theme park reservation system requires all guests to have a reservation to enter the park. And since we’re coming closer and closer to Olaf’s favorite season, summer, those reservations can become more and sparse. I wouldn't want you and your Mouseketeers to be left out in the cold like Queen Elsa! So, once you're ready to make your park reservations, it's important to do so as soon as possible to ensure that you get the days you want. Depending on the time of year and the popularity of certain rides or events, some days may fill up before Ana and Hans can finish each others’ sandwiches. So it's always best to plan ahead as much as possible.
To make your park reservations,
follow these simple steps once you have your tickets.
Also, I have great news for you, Thomas! You're in for a treat this summer, if that’s when you’re planning to visit. The
Disney100 celebration is in full swing, and a new area,
San Fransokyo Square, will be opening this summer at
Disney California Adventure.
I hope these tips help, Thomas! I feel so excited for you and your crew as you plan such a magical time for them. I know you’ll all make memories that you’ll never forget. If you think of any more questions as you plan,
please follow up, it's an honor for me to help!
You’ve got a friend in me,
Danielle
