I wanted to pay monthly for the magic pass but I don't see that option when purchasing? It was advertised but is it an actual option?

Howdy, Alex! Thanks for stopping by planDisney and asking your question!

I'm thrilled that you are considering purchasing a new Magic Key pass! You are correct that California residents have the option to buy a Magic Key using a monthly payment plan after a $179 down payment. When purchasing online, be sure that you are logged into your Disneyland Resort account before making your purchase. Also, ensure that your account is up-to-date with your current California address. Then when you check out, you should see the option to select the payment plan. Depending on which Magic Key you choose, your monthly payment will be between $19 and $102 per month.

With your Magic Key pass, you will still need to make theme park reservations to visit the parks. Magic Key holders can make reservations up to 90 days in advance and can hold between two and six theme park reservations at a time, depending on the pass type.

Finally, your Magic Key pass is valid for one year from the date of activation, not the date of purchase. And you have up to one year to activate your pass for the first time.

I hope you have a fabulous time visiting the Happiest Place on Earth all year long with your Magic Key!
