I wanted to know if the Tiana princess rooms at Port Orleans riverside is worth the extra money. Our daughter will be 11 when we travel this time. We have stayed at Corando Springs and All Star Movies in the past.

    Hi Jill,

Disney's Port Orleans Resort is one of my family's favorites!  To answer your question I asked my own 10 year old and 15 year old daughters if they thought the Royal Guest Rooms were worth the extra money and they both exclaimed, "Yes!"  Therefore according to a teen and pre-teen the Royal Guest Rooms have a huge appeal to their age categories and they would love to spend their parent's money on one.

The decision whether it is worth the money to upgrade to one of these rooms really is a matter of your budget.  If you have some wiggle room in your budget then I agree with my daughters.  Staying in a Royal Guest Room would add more magic to your Resort hotel experience.  However if upgrading rooms pushes your budget to the limit then I would forgo it.  Deciding upon a budget and sticking to it is a top priority for me as it enables me to vacation stress-free.  As you are well aware, there are Resort hotels in every budget category to choose from and you can have an absolutely magical vacation with any Disney Resort hotel accommodations.

I hope this helps you make your decision.  If you have any further questions, please write back to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We truly love to help other Guests plan their MAGICAL Disney vacations.

    Blessings,
