Hey there Christina, it's great to welcome you here at planDisney!

I recently answered a similar question about the continuing work being completed at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, where I spent some time last week taking a look at the refurbishments and chatting with the Cast Members about when these updates are likely to be finished. While most of the construction and renovation work being done was mostly outside and on top of the building this month, here's the current status of the lobby itself:

At the current time there isn't any construction actively being done in the lobby area, though the lobby carpeting still remains noticeably older than its newly installed counterparts on the upper levels and other buildings and there does not appear to be any early stages of blocking off any areas for planned refurbishment in the way they had any time something was being worked on over the past few years.

If any work is planned to update or reimagine the Front Desk Services area, the Cast Members didn't seem to anticipate that this would be occurring any time soon. As of right now the Garden View Tea Room as well as the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa continue to remain closed, but this all could be subject to change over the next year without prior notice.

With the removal of the Grand Cottage at the start of April and several months yet to go until the installation of the iconic Gingerbread House, if any lobby work was to be done it would likely have to take place before the holiday crowds descend at the end of the year.

I'll be back at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa again soon to pop by for a peek at the most recent work being done as previews get underway for Tiana's Bayou Adventure, so don't hesitate to come back to planDisney again for any other updates or advice ahead of your trip!
