Hi, Mirella! Welcome to planDisney!
Spending the
Christmas holiday at
Walt Disney World Resort would be nothing short of magical! I'm happy to answer your question for you today so that you can start making your holiday plans.
All Guests, regardless of where they are staying or what type of
theme park admission they are using, are required to have
theme park reservations to enter a park through January 8, 2024. I took a look at the
theme park reservation availability calendar for you. I'm not sure which level of
Annual Pass you have. At this time, it looks like park reservations are still available for all four theme parks for Guests with a Disney Incredi-Pass, but Christmas Day is blocked out or unavailable for the other levels of Annual Passes. Even if you book a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay, if your Annual Pass is blocked out for Christmas Day, you will not be able to make a park reservation or enter a park unless you purchase a separate standard theme park ticket.
If you're not able to visit the theme parks for Christmas this year, there's still plenty of holiday fun to be had around Walt Disney World Resort. I love visiting all of the resort hotels to take in the gorgeous holiday decorations, especially the life-size gingerbread house display at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. There's also lots of
holiday cheer over at Disney Springs. You can head over there to try some holiday treats at the Ganachery or to take the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll.
As the holiday season winds down, be sure to check out these
updates that will be going into effect in early 2024. The theme park reservation requirement will be going away on January 9, 2024 for Guests using date-based tickets. After January 9, 2024, some dates will be listed as "good-to-go days" where
Annual Passholders will not need to make theme park reservations. However, theme park reservations may still be required for Annual Passholders on other dates, and block-out dates still apply. For more information on these updates as they are implemented, be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog.
Mirella, if we can help you with any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Wishing you a very merry holiday season!
Samantha
