    Hi! I wanted to know if I can purchase magic bands for someone that is not on my room reservation (separate reservation) but is in my friends and family list. They are surprising their son so did not want the magic band to get sent to their house.

    You possess the heart of a Walt Disney World Resort Cast Member and the generosity of the Fairy Godmother. I understand your desire to share some Disney magic with a member of your Family & Friends List in the form of a MagicBand. The recipient of this magical gift will enjoy tapping in at theme park entry, connecting with Disney PhotoPass photographers, and being a part of epic nighttime spectaculars like Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Let's discuss the delivery options.

    Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can purchase MagicBands at least six days in advance for a discounted price. MagicBands purchased with the pre-arrival discount come linked to an individual on your resort reservation, which is why you can't use your room reservation to purchase a discounted MagicBand for your friend's son. Understanding the importance of secrecy, I have three suggestions for ways to pull off this surprise:

    1. Your friends can purchase a discounted MagicBand for their son using their My Disney Experience account and have it sent to their house. The MagicBands I purchased for my children last month arrived in an unassuming white box. In fact, the return address was for "Experience Connection Center" in Davenport, FL, and the word "Disney" did not appear anywhere on the box. I'm confident the package could arrive undetected.
    2. Your friends can purchase a discounted MagicBand for their son using their My Disney Experience account and click "Edit Address" to have his MagicBand sent to you. This option appears under the Shipping Address during the checkout process.
    3. You can purchase an un-discounted MagicBand for your friend's son online and have it sent to your house. Keep in mind that MagicBands not purchased in connection with a Disney Resort hotel reservation must be linked to a My Disney Experience account or account profile, paired with a mobile device, and charged before use.
