Hello! I wanted to know the pros and cons of staying on-site and off-site. (I am a FL resident)

Hi Samie! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

Whenever I give out advice about taking a vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth my number one tip is always to stay on property at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel! Did you know there are over 25 differently themed Resorts to fit everyone's style and budget? Whether you're hoping to stay in the lap of luxury with award-winning dining options and water-park-like pools or you're looking for a budget-friendly but still extra-magical place to lay your head, you're sure to find a Resort that fits the bill!

Besides being as close as possible to the magic of the four Theme Parks, two Water Parks, and the shopping, dining, and entertainment district of Disney Springs, being a Guest of a Disney Resort comes with plenty of other practically perfect perks! First, you and your party will be treated to complimentary Disney transportation to whisk you around the entire 40 square miles of Walt Disney World Resort. Whether you're taking a ferryboat, the monorail, a Disney bus, or the incredible Disney Skyliner, you'll be able to get wherever you need to go!

As a Guest of a Disney Resort you'll also get the benefit of Early Theme Park Entry, where you and your party get to enter each of the four Theme Parks 30 minutes early every day! This is the perfect time to hop on to some of the most popular attractions in each Park with little to no wait.  If you're planning on staying in a Disney Deluxe Resort you'll also get to stay at select Parks for extra hours on some nights with Extended Evening Theme Park Hours.

Guests of Disney Resorts also get the perk of booking their Advance Dining Reservations for the entirety of their stay (up to 10 days) at one time, instead of having to make each day's reservations separately. Plus, you'll be able to book other important reservations, like for Individual Lightning Lanes, right at 7 a.m. each day of your visit, whereas Guests staying off-property need to wait until the Park's official opening time.  If you're hoping to get on the amazing new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction or the ever-popular Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you'll want to try and book these as early as possible!

As a Florida resident, you may also find Special Offers dedicated just for you.  Keep an eye on the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page of the Walt Disney World Resort website as these offers can change at anytime!

Happy planning, Samie.  We hope to see ya real soon!
