Hey, howdy, hey, Takeia, and welcome to planDisney! I'm absolutely thrilled that you've decided to stop by our neck of the woods today with this great question about your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! You'll be walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. in just a few short months - are you getting so excited yet?
Takeia, I think you'll find that using your
Disney Theme Park tickets has never been easier! Once they're linked to your MyDisney account, you'll have a few options to scan in to the parks. My favorites are:
MagicBands,
Disney MagicMobile Service, and the Key to the World Card. I'll detail how you can use each one below - the best part is, you can use them interchangeably during your visit!
MagicBands are one of the easiest ways to navigate through your vacation. It's a comfortable bracelet that you'll wear during your visit - I even wear mine in the pool! Once you purchase a MagicBand, or the newer MagicBand+, you'll link it to your MyDisney account. At that time, you can use it to tap into the theme parks, charge purchases to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel room,
unlock your Disney Resort hotel room door, use your dining plan, and more! The latest version, MagicBand+, is rechargeable and has fun and interactive capabilities. MagicBands come in a variety of styles, so you're sure to find one that suits you.
Disney MagicMobile Service is an easy way to save your theme park tickets to the wallet of your smart phone. You can do this for your ticket as well as any members of your party whose accounts you manage in My Disney Experience. My kids have MagicBands, but I also go ahead and use MagicMobile in case we misplace a band.
You can get a Key to the World Card at Guest Services at the parks or the Front Desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. It looks like a room key, but it's so much more. It has capabilities similar to a MagicBand, but you'll store it in your pocket rather than wear it on your wrist. I've seen some Guests keep them in lanyards around their neck, as well. You'll just need one card per Guest for your entire stay - not one per day or per park ticket.
Takeia, I hope this is helpful as you begin to navigate through the planning of your vacation. I know that planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation can feel like a big task, but I promise it can be fun and worthwhile. One of my favorite things about a Disney vacation is the ability to plan ahead, so I can just enjoy my time while I'm there. Be sure to pay attention to the dates when you can book
Advance Dining Reservations,
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and Lightning Lane Single Pass. Check out the planDisney website for lots of helpful resources about planning your vacation. And if you have any questions at all about your plans, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us! That's what we're here for!
See you real soon!
