Hi, I wanted to know can I bring a metal nail file onto the cruise? My son absolutely hates using an Emory board file.

Hi Amber.  I like that you are planning for your magical vacation onboard Disney Cruise Line early. We here at planDisney are happy to help!

I checked in with Disney Cruise Line.  While a metal nail file is not listed on the prohibited list, Guests should follow the requirement concerning bringing scissors onboard:  they cannot exceed 4 inches.  I hope that helps with you and your son's packing list.

I'm not sure how old your son is, but there are youth activities for Guests ages all ages.  From Disney's Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Labto Vibe, young Guests have the opportunity to enjoy shared spaces with other kids their age.  My tween son has been cruising since he was a toddler and did not want to leave Disney's OceaneerClub at the end of the night.  Now, he spends his days in Edge.  Maybe you can get some time in Senses Spa & Salon or Cove Café while he is having his own fun.

Amber, come back to visit us at planDisney as you continue to plan your upcoming vacation.
