We wanted to know the best way to plan out our trip in advance for the most part so we have an idea how to get the most in on our trip. This is the first time for our three youngest boys. Ages 11,10 and 4. Do we book meals ahead or just one or two meals.

    Hi Marnie!

You should really make Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) for all of the Table Service restaurants you would like to dine in.  They are really important and absolutely necessary during the busiest times of the year; the popular restaurants fill up even during the slowest times of the year.  ADRs can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE up to 180 days in advance.

To help you plan which park to visit on which day, I recommend visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com.  That is the website for the research team behind the tour book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World". They are famous in the Disney fan community for producing a crowd calendar that predicts the crowd level in each park on a given day.  Their recommendations are based on a lot of math and years of data collection.  As an engineer, I am a huge fan of their work.

I also recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is full of information and tips, but it is not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good feel of everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions!
