I wanted to know what the best way to miss the traffic of people when you enter the mk? Going to the left or right?

    Hi Jennifer!
Wow, that is the million dollar question! When touring Magic Kingdom as well as the other Walt Disney World Theme Parks I tend to go left because research has shown that people naturally tend to go right.  This strategy also usually works in attractions that have right and left lines.  Now this rule doesn't always hold true, but it works for a majority of the time.  Here are some other great tips that I have picked up thoughout my trips in the Magic Kingdom:

    1. Always be at the Magic Kingdom at least 20-30 minutes before it opens so you can be one of the first ones in the Park.  Plus you get to see the great Magic Kingdom Opening Ceremonies!

    2. Head to the back of the Magic Kingdom first and do the attractions that are the farthest away (people tend to run to the closest attractions nearest to the front gates first).  For example do Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain first if they are open. You can work your way to the front of the Park as the day goes on.

    3. Have a plan of what rides that you want to make sure to go on and ride the most popular rides first.  because they are the ones that will have the longest lines later on in the day.  For example if you want to go to Tomorrowland first, then go to Space Mountain, get a Fast Pass for later, and then ride Space Mountain.  After that then do the Buzz Lightyear and the Speedway.  If you want to start in Fantasyland you should ride Dumbo first , then Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh. Then yo can do the other Fantasyland rides and attractions.

I hope that your next trip to Walt Disney World has short lines, many magical rides, and memories that will last a lifetime!
