Hi, there!
Welcome back to planDisney, Julia. We're just thrilled to hear you're planning another visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
This mom of three always has a stroller on hand for my family's pixie-dusted days in the theme parks. It's a necessity! One of my favorite things about having our stroller with us on our Disney vacations is that it protects my
little one from that hot Florida sunshine and those short, frequent rainstorms. I can certainly understand wanting some protection for yourself too! Umbrellas are not listed among prohibited items in the
Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules, and nothing about umbrella attachments is mentioned in the
stroller guidelines, so I think it would be fine to take along with you. I will say, though, that you might find the umbrella attachment a bit cumbersome or awkward as you are strolling your way through the theme parks. Wearing a wide-brimmed hat for sun protection and keeping a poncho in your park bag in case of rain may be more convenient and make for a lighter load.
If you do choose to use the umbrella attachment, I recommend taking it off when you park your stroller in the designated stroller parking areas. Cast Members often rearrange the strollers in the parking areas to create space, and the attachment may make that process more difficult. When we park our stroller and the sky is looking ominous, I stretch out a poncho and toss it on top of our stroller to keep it dry in case it rains while we're riding an attraction!
Magic will be blooming all around you when you visit the
Walt Disney World Resort this Spring. Be sure to check out the
Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! It's budding with lots of
springtime activities to explore!
I hope this was helpful, Julia. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
