Hi there, Evelin, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always enjoy helping my fellow Californians plan their next visit to the
Disneyland Resort!
I’m happy to report that yes, you are more than welcome to leave the theme parks at any point during the day in order to check-in to your hotel. Upon entering
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll have your photo taken at the Main Entrance turnstiles. This way, your picture will be associated with your
ticket if you choose to exit and re-enter at any time. So, hang on to your ticket so you can re-enter after checking into your hotel! I also recommend adding your ticket to your Disney account on the
Disneyland app. It doesn’t hurt to have it there just in case you misplace it throughout the day. The app is a wonderful handy helper inside the parks. I enjoy using it to check
attraction wait times, find favorite Characters, make
dining reservations, mobile order food, and use
Disney MaxPass and
Disney PhotoPass!
Since you’re spending just one day at the Disneyland Resort, I recommend adding MaxPass to your ticket. It’s a great way to make the most of your day! Spend less time waiting in line, and more time making magic! You can add MaxPass to your ticket using the app as soon as you enter either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. Then, start making your
Disney FASTPASS selections from the convenience of your phone!
If you're staying at one of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels and you prefer not to leave the parks to check-in, you can drop your luggage off and begin the check-in process prior to heading to the parks for the day. Then, you can have your luggage brought to your room whenever you're done having fun in the theme parks.
Wishing you Disney magic and pixie-dusted memories!
Kristin
