Hola! Contreras and welcome to planDisney.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my favorite time at Magic Kingdom Park. The
festive decorations such as, jack-o’-lantern, scarecrows and unique entertainment like the Cadaver Dans and Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade make this party is a “must do." I am glad you asked this question because, it is best, like Scar, from Disney’s The Lion King says, “to be prepared.”
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is an opportunity to step out of the real world and enter fantasy. How awesome is it to be able to trick-or-treat at the "Most Magical Place on Earth!" When you dress up as your favorite Disney character, anime, or other silly haunt, be sure to follow the
Halloween Party Costume Guidelines. You may paint your face and wear custom contact lenses but avoid looking exactly like a "real" Disney character. The
Disney Parks Blog even has some suggestions. The big issue with dressing up as Disney characters is that some other Guests may mistake you for the actual Disney character and approach you for autographs or photographs. Please remember that no part of your costume should drag on the ground. It is a safety concern if someone steps on your tail or it gets caught somewhere.
planDisney Pro Tip: While riding all of the attractions during the party is awesome, meeting Disney characters in their Halloween costumes is a unique experience. How often can you meet Stitch dressed as Elvis? Character meet and greets can take a while so plan who you want to meet and do it early in the evening when the crowds are lowest.
Contreras, enjoy making many happily haunting Magical Memories in September.
