Hello Fernie,
There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow shining ahead for you, Fernie! I'm happy for you that you're starting to plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
As Guests who always love to plan and enjoy Disney destination vacations, we planDisney panelists are happy to share our suggestions for how you can plan your own magical stay.
I'd say the first place to start is to think about where you might like to stay. Start by getting familiar with the
Disney Resorts Collection. You'll find a variety of options from Resort hotel rooms to Deluxe Villas to Disney character-themed suites. You'll also find there are
options for just about every travel budget. You might want to stay close enough to a theme park that you can just take a stroll over to visit, like with Disney's Contemporary Resort near Magic Kingdom Park, or Disney's Beach Club Resort near EPCOT. You'll also have
Resort transportation to help you get around. I'm confident you'll find Resort accommodations to fit your vacation vibe.
You'll also want to get familiar with your theme park ticket options with the
Tickets & Visit Guide. Whether you choose 1 Park Per Day tickets, or add the Park Hopper Option to visit more than one theme park in a day, or add the Park Hopper Plus Options to add some waterpark fun, you're sure to enjoy the magic of the theme parks.
It's helpful to know that you'll need a theme park reservation in addition to theme park admission to visit a park. It's a good idea to check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to see that reservations are available for when you want to visit. It's also helpful to know that theme park ticket prices are date-based and will vary by month and by day. It's a good idea to
check out the ticket pricing calendar (look for the "Choose the First Day of Your Ticket" section) to get some ideas for ticket pricing.
Once you're acquainted with Resort hotel options and theme park tickets, you can use the easy online tools to
book your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package.
When you book your vacation package, you'll want to review the Terms and Conditions for deposit and payment procedures. Currently, when you book a vacation package, you can pay a $200 deposit if you're booking 31 days or more before you arrive. You can then make payments towards your package as you'd like, with the requirement being that your payment in full would be due 30 days before your arrival.
After you book your vacation package and purchase your tickets, you'll want to make your theme park reservations with the
Disney Park Pass system.
If you have questions as you're booking your vacation package, you can always contact the Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 939-7702 and a Cast Member can assist you.
Fernie, I hope this information helps you get started planning. If you'd like tips and recommendations as you make your plans, please do come back and ask us here at planDisney.
Here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today!
